TASK™ (Tersus Advanced Surface Kinetics), Anionic Surfactant for NAPL Mobilization
Anionic Surfactant Mixture, Propylene glycol and Isopropanol
Advantages:
- Dramatic reduction in surfactant cost
- 1 to 1.4 pore volumes for up to 95% mass removal
- Easy-to-handle waste stream
- Any surfactants remaining in the subsurface are easily biodegradable
- SEAR reduces contaminant mass flux
- SEAR can use existing pump and treat or NAPL recovery infrastructure.
Typical Application Rates:
- 1.8 wt% TASK™ Anionic Surfactant
- 0.5 - 2 wt% Electrolyte A (Not included; to purchase, click here)
- 0.0 - 0.5 wt% Electrolyte C (Not included; to purchase, click here)
Packaging Options:
- 5-Gallon Pails (44 lbs. net per pail)
- 55-Gallon Poly Drums (485 lbs. net per drum)
- 275-Gallon IBC Totes (2,425 lbs. net per tote)
Application
Surfactant-enhanced aquifer remediation (SEAR) is a cost-effective alternative to conventional pump-and-treat remediation for aquifers contaminated by non-aqueous phase organic liquids. TASK™ (Tersus Advanced Surface Kinetics), and related products, including patented methods for in situ surfactant and chemical oxidation. Supported by nearly two decades of research and testing at the University of Oklahoma, TASK™ offers a wide range of applications related to hydrocarbon contamination flushing.
